Adoptions are a very important aspect of our chapter of the Kern County Chapter of the CTTC. The survival and well-being of these creatures is our primary concern. We have a great adoption program. While we may not always have all the species listed below , if you are considering or are interested in adopting a turtle or tortoise , feel free to email us for more information. Adoptions 2005: Desert Tortoises - 161 Box Turtles - 17 Sulcata - 13 Russian Tortoises - 10 Red Eared Sliders - 585 Soft Shell - 1 Leopard - 1 Texas Tortoise - 3 Total - 791 Adoptions reports for the years of 2004, 2003, 2002: (Miscellaneous includes: Sulcata, Russian, Reeves, Soft Shell, Leopard, Yellowfoot, Redfoot, Texas, etc.) Adoptions 2004: Desert Tortoises - 223 Box Turtles - 34 Red Eared Sliders - 856 Miscellaneous - 36 TOTAL - 1149
