Hungarian Saurkraut Soup

3 slices bacon, chopped
1/2 lb. pork, diced
2 c. saurkraut
1/2 t. paprika
1/4 c. brown sugar
1 onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1 T. tomato paste
1 t. caraway seed
8 c. soup stock
sour cream

Saute bacon, onion, pork and garlic for 20 minutes. Add saurkraut, tomato paste, paprika, brown sugar and caraway seed. Stir. Add stock. Simmer 3 hours uncovered. Serve with a dollop of sour cream.
