Holiday Poke Cake
2 baked 9" round white cake layers, cooled and in pan
2 c. boiling water
1-4 serving size package red Jell-O
1-4 serving size package green Jell-O
1-12 oz. tub whipped cream
Poke cake layers with the handle end of a wooden spoon. Stir 1 c. of boiling water with each package of jell-o for at least 2 minutes. Carefully pour red gelatin over holes in one cake layer and green gelatin over holes in the other layer. Refrigerate both for 3 hours. Dip one of the cakepans in warm water for 10 seconds; unmold cake and place on plate. Frost with 1 c. of whipping cream and repeat with 2nd layer. Decorate and refrigerate 1 hour before serving.
