Pecan Pie

1 9" pie crust
1/2 c. butter, softened
1 c.sugar
3 eggs, slightly beaten
3/4 c. dark corn syrup
1/4 t. salt
1 t. vanilla
1 c. chopped pecans

Preheat oven to 350F. Cream butter; add sugar and beat until fluffy. Add eggs, corn syrup, salt and vanilla. Stir in pecans. Pour into unbaked pie shell and bake for 45 minutes.
