Russian Teacakes

I make these at Christmas time and give them to my neighbors on a holiday plate with other goodies.

1 c. butter, softened
1/2 c. powdered sugar, sifted
1 t. vanilla
2 1/4 c. flour
1/4 c. flour
1/4 t. salt
3/4 c. walnuts, chopped
extra powdered sugar

Mix butter, sugar and vanilla with fork. Mix flour and salt into mixture. Stir in nuts. Chill. Make 1" balls and bake on an ungreased baking sheet at 400F 10-12 minutes. Do not overbake. Roll once in powdered sugar when warm and once again when cool. Makes 4 dozen.
